On Monday, 14 December 2015, in the afternoon at around 12:00, in Šiauliai, on Radviliškio street near No. 110, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved an Audi 80 Avant and an Opel Astra. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 29-year-old driver of the Audi (less than a year of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations, failed to keep a safe distance and failed to choose a safe speed. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
