On Wednesday, 16 December 2015, in the evening at 18:25, in Šalčininkų district municipality, Jašiūnų town, on M. Balinskio street near No. 15, a Volkswagen Passat hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 43-year-old driver of the Volkswagen, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.82‰ blood alcohol), had no driving licence and fled the scene. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was overcast, the road surface was wet.
