On Saturday, 26 December 2015, in the evening at around 21:00, in Kauno district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 103.90), an Audi A6 hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 39-year-old driver of the Audi (2 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 80 km/h.
