On Sunday, 27 December 2015, in the evening at 18:19, in Prienų district municipality, Pakumprio village, on the Kaunas–Prienai–Alytus national road (kilometre 23), a head-on collision occurred. The collision involved a Passat T, a Skoda Octavia and a Chrysler Voyager. Six people were injured — a 7-year-old passenger of the Skoda (hospitalized), a 71-year-old passenger of the Skoda (hospitalized), the 37-year-old driver of the Skoda (hospitalized), a 39-year-old passenger of the Skoda (hospitalized), a 5-year-old passenger of the Skoda (hospitalized) and a 40-year-old passenger of the Chrysler (hospitalized). All drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, it was snowing, the road surface was snow-covered. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
