On Sunday, 27 December 2015, in the evening at 21:15, in Kauno district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 122.20), a Nissan registered in Russia hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 34-year-old driver of the Nissan (11 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
