On Sunday, 27 December 2015, in the evening at 21:34, in Šilalės district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 211.71), a Lexus RX 300 ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 33-year-old driver of the Lexus (15 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
