On Wednesday, 30 December 2015, in the afternoon at 13:15, in Kaunas, on Karaliaus Mindaugo pr. near No. 49, a Lexus RX400h hit a pedestrian away from any crossing. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 42-year-old driver of the Lexus (15 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations. He fled the scene. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 20 km/h.
