On Monday, 11 January 2016, at night at 23:45, in Prienų district municipality, Pakumprio village, on the Kaunas–Prienai–Alytus national road (kilometre 25.50), a DAF FT 95XF.430 ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 49-year-old driver of the DAF (26 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, the weather was clear, the road surface was snow-covered. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
