On Tuesday, 26 January 2016, in the evening at 17:17, in Jurbarko district municipality, on the Kaunas–Jurbarkas–Šilutė–Klaipėda national road (kilometre 103), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Ford Mondeo and an Opel Astra. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 50-year-old driver of the Ford (23 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.38‰ blood alcohol).
