On Wednesday, 10 February 2016, in the morning at 8:25, in Kaunas, on Birštono street, at the junction with Šv. Gertrūdos street, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Fiat Ducato and a Lexus IS 220. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 66-year-old driver of the Fiat (43 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
