On Thursday, 11 February 2016, in the evening at around 17:00, in Elektrėnų municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (k. pusė) main road (kilometre 42), an Audi Q7 ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 46-year-old driver of the Audi (25 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was snowing, the road surface was snow-covered. The speed limit on this section is 110 km/h.
