On Wednesday, 17 February 2016, in the morning at 6:09, in Panevėžio district municipality, on the Panevėžys–Aristava–Sitkūnai main road (kilometre 16.60), a DAF FT XF105.460 registered in Falkland Islands ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 58-year-old driver of the DAF (40 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was twilight, the weather was clear, the road surface was icy. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
