On Saturday, 20 February 2016, in the morning at 8:35, in Telšių district municipality, on the Telšiai–Alsėdžiai–Barstyčiai–Skuodas regional road (kilometre 5.55), a head-on collision occurred. The collision involved an Audi A6 registered in Norway and a BMW 316. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 30-year-old driver of the Audi, who entered the oncoming traffic lane. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. Both drivers were sober.
