On Monday, 29 February 2016, in the afternoon at 16:20, in Alytaus district municipality, Luksnėnų village, a MTZ hit a pedestrian away from any crossing. One person was injured — a 75-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 63-year-old driver of the MTZ (36 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He fled the scene. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
