Unlicensed Opel driver and Volvo truck crash on the Kaunas–Jurbarkas–Šilutė–Klaipėda road

The accident was caused by the 24-year-old driver of the Opel (less than a year of driving experience), who exceeded the speed set by traffic rules or road signs and failed to choose a safe speed.
