On Wednesday, 9 March 2016, in the afternoon at 16:19, in Mažeikių district municipality, on the Viekšniai–Stočkai–Pievėnai regional road (kilometre 5.40), a Qingqi QM 50QT-6A rolled over. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 23-year-old driver of the Qingqi, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.89‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was wet.
