On Thursday, 17 March 2016, in the afternoon at around 12:00, in Kaišiadorių district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (k. pusė) main road (kilometre 62.59), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Toyota Corolla, a Volvo FH12 and a Schwarzmuller SPA 3/E. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 54-year-old driver of the Toyota (29 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
