On Tuesday, 22 March 2016, in the morning at 10:10, in Prienų district municipality, on the Kaunas–Prienai–Alytus national road (kilometre 29.80), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Mazda 323, a Citroen Xsara Picasso and a Chrysler Voyager. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 25-year-old driver of the Mazda, who failed to keep a safe distance. He was drunk (2.31‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence.
