On Monday, 28 March 2016, in the morning at 10:37, in Skuodo district municipality, Daukšių village, on Mosėdžio street near No. 56, a Peugeot 406 rolled over. One person died — a 23-year-old passenger of the Peugeot. The accident was caused by the 26-year-old driver of the Peugeot, who committed other traffic rule violations and failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.68‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. A 30-year-old passenger of the Peugeot was drunk (0.44‰). According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
