On Monday, 28 March 2016, in the afternoon at 16:47, in Pasvalio district municipality, on the Panevėžys–Pasvalys–Ryga main road (kilometre 32.85), a DAF FT XF105 registered in Latvia ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 48-year-old driver of the DAF (40 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
