On Friday, 25 March 2016, in the morning at around 9:00, in Kelmės district municipality, Pakuprių village, a Volkswagen Golf ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 18-year-old driver of the Volkswagen, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.64‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry.
