On Thursday, 7 April 2016, in the afternoon at 13:25, in Kaunas, on Taikos pr. near No. 120, a Subaru Impreza hit a pedestrian away from any crossing. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by a 47-year-old pedestrian, who was crossing the carriageway in a built-up area outside a crossing where there is a median strip. He was drunk (2.67‰ blood alcohol). The driver was sober. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
