On Sunday, 10 April 2016, in the evening at around 18:00, in Šilalės district municipality, Šventų village, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 247.40), a Volvo S60 rolled over. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 24-year-old driver of the Volvo (6 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 130 km/h.
