On Thursday, 14 April 2016, in the evening at around 20:00, in Birštono municipality, Škėvonių village, a Hyundai Pony hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 18-year-old driver of the Hyundai, who failed to comply with road signs or markings and failed to choose a safe speed. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
