On Saturday, 16 April 2016, at night at around 23:00, in Ukmergės district municipality, on the Vilnius–Panevėžys (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 67), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a BMW 320D and a Volkswagen Golf. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 22-year-old driver of the BMW, who violated overtaking rules. She was drunk, had no driving licence and fled the scene. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 130 km/h.
