On Sunday, 17 April 2016, at night at 1:27, in Širvintų district municipality, Paširvinčio village, on the Paširvintys–Juodiškiai–Giedraičiai regional road (kilometre 0.30), a Toyota RAV4 ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 17-year-old driver of the Toyota, who exceeded the speed set by traffic rules or road signs and failed to choose a safe speed. He had no driving licence. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
