On Sunday, 17 April 2016, in the afternoon at 16:23, in Telšių district municipality, on Lygumų street near No. 19, a BMW 520 ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 24-year-old driver of the BMW, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.42‰ blood alcohol), had no driving licence and fled the scene. At the time of the accident it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
