On Wednesday, 20 April 2016, in the afternoon at 16:25, in Panevėžys, on Nemuno street, at the junction with Taikos al., a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Mitsubishi Colt, an Audi A4 and a Seat Toledo. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 33-year-old driver of the Mitsubishi, who failed to keep a safe distance and failed to choose a safe speed. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. All drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
