On Wednesday, 20 April 2016, in the evening at 18:54, in Tauragės district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 206.43), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a vehicle and a DAF FT XF95.480. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by an unidentified person, who failed to keep a safe distance. He fled the scene. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident a strong wind was blowing, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
