On Thursday, 28 April 2016, in the afternoon at 16:20, in Kaunas, on Pramonės pr. near No. 16, at a yard or parking-lot exit, an Opel Frontera hit a pedestrian away from any crossing. One person was injured — a 27-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 58-year-old driver of the Opel (30 years of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. He fled the scene. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 20 km/h.
