On Friday, 29 April 2016, in the evening at around 19:00, in Kauno district municipality, Poderiškių village, on Gelžkeliuko street, a head-on collision occurred. The collision involved a Saab 9-5 and a Volkswagen Golf. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 57-year-old driver of the Saab (20 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction and entered the oncoming traffic lane.
