On Sunday, 1 May 2016, in the morning at around 9:00, in Vilniaus district municipality, Gaukštonių village, on the Nemenčinė–Eitminiškės–Paberžė regional road (kilometre 2), a Honda Civic ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 67-year-old driver of the Honda (33 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was overcast, it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
