On Tuesday, 3 May 2016, in the morning at around 5:00, in Biržų district municipality, on the Kupiškis–Vabalninkas–Biržai national road (kilometre 45.50), a Mitsubishi L 200 hit an animal. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 31-year-old driver of the Mitsubishi (12 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober.
