On Thursday, 5 May 2016, in the morning at around 5:00, in Šilutės district municipality, Degučių village, on the Stoniškiai–Katyčiai–Degučiai regional road, a Honda Accord rolled over. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 27-year-old driver of the Honda, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.65‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was twilight, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
