On Thursday, 9 June 2016, in the afternoon at 12:06, in Marijampolės municipality, on the Mauručiai–Vinčai–Puskelniai national road (kilometre 30), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Volvo and a Skoda Yeti. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 29-year-old driver of the Volvo (9 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations, failed to keep a safe distance and failed to choose a safe speed.
