On Friday, 17 June 2016, at night at 3:30, in Vilnius, on Plytinės street near No. 58, at the junction with Keramikų street, a Volkswagen Jetta hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 34-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (less than a year of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.84‰ blood alcohol), had no driving licence and fled the scene. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
