On Friday, 24 June 2016, in the afternoon at around 11:00, in Kaišiadorių district municipality, on the Jonava–Žasliai–Kalniniai Mijaugonys national road (kilometre 21.18), a Volkswagen Golf hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 27-year-old driver of the Volkswagen, who committed other traffic rule violations. He was drunk (3.73‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
