On Friday, 24 June 2016, in the evening at around 17:00, in Anykščių district municipality, on the Sedeikiai–Mikieriai–Čiukai regional road (kilometre 9.20), a BMW 330 D rolled over. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 23-year-old driver of the BMW, who failed to choose a safe speed. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
