On Saturday, 2 July 2016, in the evening at 21:40, in Klaipėda, on Taikos pr. near No. 34, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Honda Accord and an Opel Insignia. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 28-year-old driver of the Honda, who failed to keep a safe distance. He was drunk (2.12‰ blood alcohol), had no driving licence and fled the scene. At the time of the accident it was twilight, it was overcast, the road surface was dry.
