On Tuesday, 19 July 2016, in the evening at 21:45, in Vilnius, on Žygimantų street, at the junction with Kalvarijų street, a collision with both vehicles turning right occurred. The collision involved a Hyundai i 30 CW and a Volkswagen Jetta. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 34-year-old driver of the Hyundai, who committed other traffic rule violations, failed to obey traffic-control signals and failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (0.86‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
