On Sunday, 21 August 2016, at night at 23:25, in Kaunas, on Ašigalio street near No. 25, a collision occurred. The collision involved an Audi 80 and a Toyota Auris. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 39-year-old driver of the Audi (less than a year of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations and failed to keep a safe distance. He was drunk, had no driving licence and fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
