On Sunday, 28 August 2016, in the evening at 21:29, in Šilalės district municipality, Vabalų village, a VAZ 21063 rolled over. Two people were injured — the 29-year-old driver of the VAZ (treated as an outpatient) and a 28-year-old passenger of the VAZ (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 29-year-old driver of the VAZ, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (3.97‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
