On Sunday, 25 September 2016, in the afternoon at 11:39, in Šiaulių district municipality, on the Kiti keliai local road (kilometre 4.87), an Audi 80 rolled over. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 35-year-old driver of the Audi (less than a year of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations and failed to choose a safe speed. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
