On Friday, 30 September 2016, at night at 0:30, in Biržų district municipality, on P. Klybo street near No. 13, a Volkswagen Vento hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 24-year-old driver of the Volkswagen, who failed to choose a safe speed. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
