On Saturday, 1 October 2016, in the evening at 20:31, in Panevėžio district municipality, on the Panevėžys–Aristava–Sitkūnai main road (kilometre 13.20), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Volvo V50, a MTZ 82-1, a 021 11254 and a Renault Thalia. One person was injured — the 26-year-old driver of the MTZ (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 58-year-old driver of the Volvo (7 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. All drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
