On Saturday, 15 October 2016, in the morning at 10:43, in Vilnius, on Pilaitės pr., at the junction with Įsruties street, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved an Opel Corsa and a Volvo V50. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 76-year-old driver of the Opel (34 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations. She fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
