Drunk Toyota driver in crash with Rover on the Vilijampolė–Žeimiai–Šėta road
On Wednesday, 26 October 2016, in the evening at 18:40, in Kauno district municipality, Didžiųjų Lapių village, on the Vilijampolė–Žeimiai–Šėta national road (kilometre 7), a head-on collision occurred. The collision involved a Toyota Avensis and a Rover 620. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 51-year-old driver of the Toyota (18 years of driving experience), who entered the oncoming traffic lane. He was drunk. At the time of the accident it was twilight, it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
