On Wednesday, 9 November 2016, in the afternoon at 15:15, in Vilkaviškio district municipality, on the Marijampolė–Kybartai–Kaliningradas main road (kilometre 28.10), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved an Audi 8D, Audi A4, -S4 and a Nissan Almera Tino. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 63-year-old driver of the Audi, who failed to keep a safe distance. He had no driving licence. Both drivers were sober.
