On Monday, 28 November 2016, in the afternoon at 15:50, in Visagino municipality, on the Visaginas–Užupis (kelio ruožo su skir. juosta k. pusė) regional road (kilometre 1.80), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a MTZ Belarus 1221, an Elddis - and an Evobus. One person was injured — a 63-year-old passenger of the Evobus (hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 35-year-old driver of the MTZ (10 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was twilight, it was overcast, the road surface was snow-covered. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
