On Saturday, 10 December 2016, in the afternoon at around 15:00, in Kaunas, on Šarkuvos street near No. 1A, at a yard or parking-lot exit, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Subaru Outback and a Nissan Qashqai. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 77-year-old driver of the Subaru (43 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was twilight, it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 20 km/h.
